Server logs
When the website is accessed, our provider Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: IP address, time, requested address, volume of data transferred and browser identifier. This data is required for delivery and for defending against attacks. It is not combined with other data and is deleted after a short period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely.
Contact via WhatsApp
If you write to us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Ireland Limited processes your data under its own terms. We have no influence over that. Your message and phone number are visible to us and are stored in order to handle your enquiry. If you prefer not to use it, you can also reach us by phone or email.
Vehicle data and chassis number
For coding work and FSC codes we need the chassis number. It is a vehicle attribute, but it can be linked to a person through the registration authority — so we treat it as personal data. We use it solely to provide the service you ordered and do not pass it on.
The chassis number check on this website runs entirely in your browser. The number is not transmitted to us during the check. We only receive it once you submit an order or write to us.
Ordering and payment
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, chassis number and any notes. We need this data to perform the contract. Payment is handled by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A.; we transmit the amount, the item description and a reference number. You enter your payment details exclusively at PayPal — we never see them.
Retention: we keep order data for as long as statutory retention obligations require — in Switzerland ten years for business records and receipts.
Your rights
You have the right to information about the data stored about you, to correction of inaccurate data, to erasure and to restriction of processing. An informal message to the address above is sufficient. You may also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
